Future chicken coop {Part 1}:

(Before you read this, know that I am no chicken expert or anything, I just post what I think is a good idea, or things I like and may want for the future. If you have any input on my ideas, comment on this post below. Thanks!)


I totally adore this red barn chicken coop. Even though I like the idea of free-range chickens, I definitely would like to bring them in during the night for safety.

I also think having a coop in blizzard weather would be useful...warm way to collect eggs. ;).

But during blizzard weather, I don't think keeping them cooped up inside would be a good thing to do, so having a "yard" for them wouldn't be a bad idea.

Unfortunately, chickens have predators and sometimes they dig under the fences to get to the poor chickens. :( I found this pin on Pinterest and I thought it was a great idea!

Electric fencing around the bottom, and you can make a "trench" around the whole pen filled with big rocks for extra protection!
